New Delhi. Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh are once again in the news. This time the reason is not his song or concert but the statement of famous singer Mika Singh. Mika has raised questions on Diljit's film promotion style and said that despite working in Bollywood films, he does not promote them openly. Especially Mika expressed his displeasure while mentioning the film Border 2. He also raised the question that why Diljit was seen promoting his film Sardarji 3 with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir but did not show the same enthusiasm for other films. According to Mika, after his brother Daler Mehndi, Diljit has made his mark at the international level by wearing a turban and he is proud of it. However, he also clarified that he has a different opinion regarding the promotion of films. Mika believes that when an actor becomes a part of a big Bollywood project, he should also play an active role in the promotion of the film.
Regarding Border 2, Mika said that as per his knowledge, Diljit did not promote the film adequately during its release. He also raised the question why Diljit did not talk much publicly about working with actor Sunny Deol and being a part of such a big film. According to Mika, Border 2 is one of the important films that express the sentiments related to the country and the participation of artists is also important in its promotion. He said that he is saying these things not to increase any controversy but to express his opinion like a brother.
However, an important fact in this matter is that Diljit Dosanjh had shared promotional content related to Border 2. He released his first look from the film in December 2025 and posts related to the film's trailer and other promotional materials were also revealed. In such a situation, there is a difference between Mika's statement and the available promotional activities. According to reports, Diljit's promotional activities were mainly limited to online content and he stayed away from some on-ground promotional events of the film. Therefore, to say that he did not promote the film at all does not present the complete picture of facts.
Mika Singh also mentioned Diljit's film Sardarji 3 in which Pakistani actress Hania Aamir was seen. There was controversy in India earlier also regarding this film.
