DM angry over slow progress in construction of Sinduria Excellence Centre, strict instructions to executing agencies

The progress of the construction work of Sinduria Excellence Center was reviewed in the Collectorate Auditorium on Monday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Charcha Gaur. In the meeting, the current status of the construction works being carried out by the executing agencies, physical progress and completion of the work within the stipulated time frame was reviewed in detail.

During the review, District Magistrate Shri Charcharat Gaur expressed his displeasure over the slow progress of the construction work of the Excellence Center being done by Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council, Prayagraj. Giving strict instructions to the concerned project manager, he said that the construction work should be expedited immediately and the work should be completed within the stipulated time.

The District Magistrate directed that to increase the speed of construction work, work should be done in two-three shifts as per requirement. He said that the construction work should be carried forward rapidly by providing adequate number of workers and necessary resources, so that there is no unnecessary delay in the project.

In the same sequence, the progress of the construction work being done at Sinduria Excellence Center by the office organization C&DS was also reviewed. The District Magistrate directed the concerned project manager to proceed at the prescribed pace and complete the construction work in a time bound manner. He instructed the executing agency to regularly monitor the construction work and pay special attention to the progress of each phase.

The District Magistrate gave clear instructions to the officials of both the executing agencies to speed up the construction work and ensure strict adherence to quality standards. He said that any kind of negligence in quality or compromise on standards will not be accepted. Regular verification of the quality of construction material, technical quality of work and prescribed standards should be ensured.

He said that slow progress in the construction of an important project like the Center of Excellence is not acceptable. The executing agencies should work with full capacity and increase the pace of construction and ensure completion of the work within the stipulated time frame.

The District Magistrate directed the concerned officers to regularly review the construction works and ensure monitoring of progress and quality by conducting regular inspections at the construction site. He said that if any laxity is found in the work at any level, the responsibility of the concerned will be fixed.

The concerned officers including the concerned project manager, executive engineer and representatives of both the executing agencies were present in the meeting.
