During the hearing in the Supreme Court, the person tore the file, also abused the CJI by mentioning it.

In the Supreme Court, during the ongoing hearing, a person tore pages of files and threw them and abused the Chief Justice. When the person threw the files in the court, the case was being heard. When the judge did not give a decision in her favor, she got angry and threw the files in front of the judge’s bench and started abusing.

The bench hearing was being conducted by the bench of Justice KV Vishwanathan and Justice Alok Aradhe. Allahabad High Court had rejected a petition, after which the petitioner approached the Supreme Court. He had appealed for personal hearing under section 173 (4) of the Indian Civil Defense Code (BNSS). When the court fixed the date of hearing, the man got angry.

The petitioner started giving orders to the judge

The petitioner told the bench, ‘Mr Judicial Servant, I order you to register a case against ACP Vikas Nagar Lucknow.’

‘You are ordering us..?’

Justice Vishwanathan replied, ‘Are you ordering me, are you ordering us?’

The judge appeared calm even after the uproar.

Suddenly, without any provocation, the petitioner started throwing papers in the court. He abused the Chief Justice in the court itself, tore papers from him and threw them. The Supreme Court security personnel caught him and took him out from there. The judge present on the bench remained calm during this period. He neither showed anger nor asked to arrest him. The court process continued normally.

When the lawyer threw shoes in the Supreme Court

A similar case came to light on 6 October 2025 also. A lawyer had tried to hit former CJI BR Gavai with a shoe. The security officials of the Supreme Court had taken him out of the court premises. The lawyer’s license was suspended by the Bar Council of India. The Supreme Court Bar Association had canceled his membership. BR Gavai had later said that no action should be taken against the accused lawyer.
