In the case of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, according to officials, a logical discrepancy was found between the age in her enumeration form and the age of her parents. After investigation, their documents have been legalized. According to officials, his name will remain in the final voter list.
At the same time, the reason for sending the notice to Arvind Kejriwal and his family members is said to be the mismatch of information with the previous SIR records. According to the office of the Electoral Registration Officer, their enumeration forms did not contain complete information on the basis of which they could be mapped to the previous voter list.
For this reason, the names of Kejriwal and his family were included in the list of voters with 'no mapping'. According to officials, Kejriwal and his family members are voters in Assembly Constituency 40. The election registration officer said that under SIR, the process of linking the voters' information with the previous voter lists is being done. Documents or clarifications may be sought from voters whose information cannot be mapped to available records.
Regarding this matter, Aam Aadmi Party had claimed that Kejriwal's name was missing from the voter list. After this, the office of the Election Registration Officer clarified that issuance of notice is not tantamount to deletion of name and the information is being verified as per the relevant process.
