There is a big and wonderful good news for more than 8 crore subscribers associated with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). EPFO is now preparing to launch a state-of-the-art digital platform ‘EPFO 3.0’. Although its launch was slightly delayed due to technical reasons, but now it is all set to arrive in 2025. To turn this big project into reality, the responsibility has been entrusted to leading IT companies like Infosys, Wipro and TCS. This new system will eliminate all the complications related to PF for the employees.
Now PF money will be withdrawn through ATM and UPI
One of the biggest changes of EPFO 3.0 is the simplification of the withdrawal process. According to the new rules, employees will now be able to withdraw money directly from their PF account from any ATM. For this, your UAN should be active and it is mandatory to link Aadhaar card with your bank account. Not only this, considering today’s times, EPFO is now providing withdrawal facility through UPI also. That is, if you suddenly need money, you can get the funds immediately through your UPI app without visiting any office.
The rounds of offices are over, every work will be done sitting at home
Now employees will not need to go to the regional office for minor mistakes or updates. Through EPFO 3.0, you will be able to make changes in your name, date of birth and other personal information while sitting at home. Also, checking the status of your claim will now become very easy, so that your work will be completed without any delay. This digital platform will be completely mobile-friendly, so that you will be able to check your account information and balance from anywhere.
Relief for the families of deceased members
EPFO has also simplified the claim process keeping in mind the human aspects. Now, in case of unfortunate death of any member, their families will not have to face any difficulty in getting the claim. Especially for minors, now the requirement of guardianship certificate has been abolished. With this, the bereaved family will be able to get timely financial assistance and they will not have to wander for legal documents.
