Farah Khan recently called out the paparazzi for trying to photograph her from behind, invoking Salman Khan’s recent comments on Bigg Boss 20.
As photographers tried to film her walking away, the 61-year-old filmmaker turned around and said, “Salman bhai ne bola na, peeche se nahi lene ka,” followed by a firm, “Turn karo,” making clear she wasn’t okay with being shot from behind.
The Main Hoon Na director joins a growing list of celebrities pushing back on such angles. Manushi Chhillar recently asked paparazzi to delete back shots, saying, “Please delete that. Don’t put any back shots.” Neha Dhupia has also confronted photographers before, asking, “Yeh badtameezi se backshot kaun leta hai?”
The conversation picked up after Salman Khan addressed it directly during the September 20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode, calling out photographers for “hip shots,” “taangon ke shots” and especially back shots.
“And then the one shot they take from behind, which none of the heroines like? There must be a few who say it’s okay, I don’t mind it. But what about those who don’t like it?” the Wanted The actor said, citing past instances involving Saiee Manjrekar, Neha Dhupia and even his own niece, whose back shot was captioned, “Pehchaano ye kaun hai?”
The 60-year-old superstar urged women to speak up when uncomfortable, saying, “Jahan aisa hua, ghoom ke chamaat maaro. Bolna na apni maa behenon ka yeh shot lete ja, aur humko dikha,” and called the practice “disgusting,” asking, “What is this mentality?”
