Lucknow. An emergency meeting of the Law Cell of Bharatiya Jan Samaj Party was held on Wednesday in the District and Sessions Court premises. In the meeting held under the chairmanship of National President Brijmohan Singh, issues like education system, corruption, liquor policy, road construction and paper leaks in competitive examinations were discussed. Party officials and advocates registered their objections regarding the policies of the government and raised various demands.
In the meeting, senior advocate Pawan Kumar Srivastava along with advocates Anurag Srivastava and Vinod Srivastava demanded implementation of uniform curriculum in the education system. He said that there should be no difference in the quality of education on economic basis and all children should get equal educational opportunities.
Advocate Shilu Singh raised the issue of road quality of Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway. He demanded an investigation into the construction work and action against the responsible officials. According to him, irregularities in road construction should be investigated and responsibility should be fixed.
Advocate Chanpreet Dua raised the issue of alleged disparity in the operating hours of liquor shops and demanded implementation of uniform rules. At the same time, advocate Ayush Pratap Singh expressed objection to the Deputy Chief Minister's statement regarding e-rickshaw and expected people holding public positions to give responsible statements.
On the issue of paper leak, advocate Reyansh demanded that in case of cancellation of the examination, the candidates should be compensated for the travel and other expenses along with the examination fee. He also demanded strict action against the culprits in paper leak cases.
Party's legal advisor Jitendra Pratap Singh said that the party will continue to raise issues related to public interest on legal and democratic forums. A large number of advocates including Kijay Singh, Dipanshu Singh, Rajkumar Maurya were present in the meeting. The members present supported the proposals put forward in the meeting.
