Firing in Siwan: Former MLC’s family attacked

A sensational incident has come to light from Siwan, Bihar, which has spread panic in the entire area. The miscreants opened indiscriminate fire on close relatives of former BJP MLC Manoj Kumar Singh. In this attack, his nephew Harsh Singh died during treatment, while his brother-in-law Chandan Kumar Singh is seriously injured.

The incident took place near Dhala overbridge of Nagar police station area. Chandan Singh was preparing to go to a Tilak ceremony with his son Harsh Singh. Then his Thar car was hit by a car from behind. A minor altercation quickly turned into a violent clash. The miscreants who got out of the car opened fire on both of them without any delay. Seriously injured Harsh Singh was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.

Crowd gathered in the hospital, police alert

After the incident, a huge crowd gathered at Sadar Hospital. Superintendent of Police Puran Kumar Jha himself reached the spot and investigation was started. BJP leaders also gathered in the hospital.

Police action: ‘Half Encounter’

After the incident, the police took swift action and caught one accused Vicky Yadav in an encounter in Hussainganj area. He has been shot in both his legs and his condition is said to be critical. Other accused have been identified and their search is on. Investigation continues, tension in the area. Police is investigating the case from every angle. Initially this seems to be a case of road rage, but there could be a bigger conspiracy behind it.

This incident is once again raising questions on law and order, especially when such an incident was carried out in broad daylight.
