PRAGYA will run as a research platform for two decades

Pranos Fusion plans to operate PRAGYA as a research platform for approximately two decades. Under this, there is a plan to take about 3,000 plasma shots every year. On this platform, various technologies related to fusion along with controlling plasma will be tested and developed. The company believes that this will form an important foundation for developing further fusion technologies.

HTS magnets in 2027, target of net energy gain by 2030

Pronos Fusion has also unveiled its next roadmap regarding fusion energy. The company aims to activate high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets by 2027. After this, the company plans to develop a net energy gain reactor named 'PRANIQ' by the year 2030. Net energy gain refers to a situation in which the energy obtained from the fusion process exceeds the energy consumed to run the system. If this goal is achieved, then taking fusion energy beyond the laboratory can be considered an important step towards commercial energy production.
