Mass marriage will be organized in November

Due to lack of auspicious marriage time in August, September and October, this year the mass marriage ceremony has been proposed to be organized in November. According to the Social Welfare Department, marriage programs will be organized in various districts on auspicious dates falling after November 20. Thousands of families were waiting for this decision for a long time, who have already applied under the scheme.

One pair will cost Rs 1 lakh

This time the government has made a provision to spend a total of Rs 1 lakh per couple under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. This amount will include wedding arrangements, gift items and other necessary arrangements. Officials say that sending cash directly to the bank account will increase transparency and the procurement process will also become easier than before.

Preparation of gift material started

In view of the preparations for the wedding ceremony, the tender process for purchasing gift items has also been started. The aim of the department is to complete all the preparations on time, so that the marriage programs proposed in November and December can be organized smoothly.
