Opposition MPs created ruckus in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi. Even on Wednesday, there was a deadlock in the Rajya Sabha on the issue of ‘NEET’ question paper leak issue and the police action against the students protesting in Delhi against it. The government said that it is ready to discuss the NEET question paper leak issue, while the opposition remained adamant on the demand of holding the discussion under Rule 267.

The opposition also said that this topic can be discussed only after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Amid the uproar over this issue, the House proceedings were adjourned for the whole day at 3 pm after being disrupted thrice.

After the Upper House meeting started at 3 pm after three adjournments, opposition members demanding discussion on the NEET question paper leak issue started creating ruckus. Meanwhile, with the permission of the chair, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that Congress had demanded discussion. The government is ready for discussion. Now members of the opposition Congress are trying to postpone the discussion by imposing conditions.

Leader of Opposition in the Upper House and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that you have said that Rule 267 is used in the rarest of rare cases. What could be more rare than what has happened? Force has been used on children.

Meanwhile, the opposition members increased the ruckus and Deputy Chairman Harivansh, not seeing any order in the House, adjourned the meeting for the whole day. Even today Zero Hour and Question Hour could not be held in the Upper House due to the uproar.
