Great news for employees! There will be no more delays in salaries and allowances; the government has issued strict instructions.

Ranchi. The Jharkhand government has taken significant steps to eliminate delays in the payment of salaries and fixed allowances to government employees. The Finance Department has issued clear instructions to all departments, divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners, and treasury officers, stating that employees’ salaries should reach their accounts on time. The government’s objective is to ensure that there are no unnecessary delays in salary payments and that employees do not face financial difficulties.

Government’s emphasis on timely payment of salaries

Instructions issued by the Finance Department stated that despite budgets being available in many offices, salary bills were not being sent to the treasury on time. This was resulting in delays in employees’ salaries reaching their bank accounts. The government has taken this situation seriously and directed the concerned officials to strictly enforce the rules.

Treasury rules must be followed

The Finance Department has instructed officials to ensure compliance with Rule 139 of the Jharkhand Treasury Code, 2016. According to this rule, unless otherwise directed by the state government, bills relating to the monthly salaries and fixed allowances of government employees may be signed and presented to the treasury any time after the 25th of the month. Furthermore, if the last banking day of the month is a working day, salaries may be paid on that day as well.

Employees will get big relief

With the implementation of the new directives, it is expected that government employees will no longer have to wait unnecessarily for their salaries. Timely salary payments will make it easier for employees to meet their household expenses, bank loan installments, children’s education, and other financial responsibilities on time.
