Continuing the arrangement of previous years, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced free travel in roadways buses for mothers, sisters and daughters this time too. This is expected to provide great relief to women going to their maternal or relatives' homes during the festival.
The facility will start from the night of 27th August
The facility of free bus travel will start from midnight of 27th August till midnight of 28th August. During this period, eligible women passengers will be able to travel in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation buses without paying fare.
One colleague will also be able to travel for free
The special thing about this facility is that one companion traveling with the female passenger will also get the benefit of free travel. This will especially facilitate women who have to travel with a family member during the festival.
