Patel made the appeal while interacting with members of the Gujarati diaspora in Washington during his US-Canada visit. The meeting was part of Gujarat’s efforts to attract fresh investment ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2027.
The Chief Minister highlighted Gujarat’s infrastructure, governance, financial discipline and business-friendly policies as key strengths for investors.
Patel said the state is holding meetings with companies and investors to attract new investment, establish industries and promote emerging sectors. He said discussions held in Silicon Valley had also received a positive response.
He encouraged overseas Gujaratis to invest in GIFT City, saying their global business experience and capital could contribute to Gujarat’s economic development while creating opportunities for investors.
The Chief Minister also highlighted Gujarat’s growing focus on semiconductors, data centres, AI and biotechnology, saying these sectors could attract large investments and create new employment opportunities.
Along with technology and manufacturing, Patel identified tourism, hotels and hospitality as areas with further investment potential as industrial and business activity increases in the state.
He also said Gujarat’s development agenda includes improving basic services such as water supply, electricity and urban infrastructure, along with creating jobs and expanding economic opportunities.
During his visit, Patel also met Walmart Executive Vice-President Dan Bryant to discuss opportunities for Gujarat’s MSMEs and small artisans to gain greater access to global markets.
The investment outreach is part of Gujarat’s preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2027, with the state seeking to attract domestic and international investment across technology, finance, manufacturing, infrastructure and other emerging sectors.
