Pakistan batter Gull Feroza has been fined 10 per cent of her match fee for violating the ICC Code of Conduct during Pakistan's Women's Asia Cup Group A match against Hong Kong in Dubai on Monday.
Feroza was found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the code for showing dissent at the umpire's decision during her team's innings. She faced the punishment after objecting to an umpire's call in the fifth over of Pakistan's innings when she was given out leg before wicket.

Following her dismissal, Feroza showed her bat to the umpire, indicating that she had edged the ball. She admitted to the offense and accepted the sanction proposed by Supriya Rani Das of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees, which meant that a formal hearing was not necessary.
Gull Feroza was also handed one demerit point, taking her tally to two within 24 months. Her previous demerit point came during Pakistan's Women's T20 World Cup match against Australia on June 23, when she was reprimanded for aggressively throwing her bat and gloves after being dismissed.
Under the ICC Code of Conduct, Level 1 offenses have a minimum penalty of an official reprimand and a maximum fine of 50 per cent of a player's match fee, as well as one or two demerit points.
Gull Feroza's latest sanction follows that of Pakistan captain Fatima Sana, who was also fined 10 per cent of her match fee following an incident during the team's Group A match against India.
Fatima was found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct – which relates to language, actions or gestures that disparage or could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter following their dismissal – involving India batter Shafali Verma.
Fatima was also handed one demerit point, taking her total to two within the same 24-month period.

Pakistan Book Women's Asia Cup Semi-Final Spot
Gull Feroza's sanction came a day after Pakistan booked their place in the Women's Asia Cup semi-finals with a convincing 72-run victory over Hong Kong.
Pakistan posted 143 for eight after being asked to bat, before left-arm spinner Nashra Sandhu produced a record-breaking spell of 6/7 to dismiss Hong Kong for just 71. The victory ensured Pakistan's progression from Group A and spelled the end of Hong Kong's campaign.
Pakistan had suffered a heavy defeat against India earlier in the group stage but bounced back strongly against Hong Kong to finish their campaign on a winning note.
The result saw Pakistan finish second in Group A with four points and a net run rate of +0.927 after winning two of their three matches.
