Heavy rain warning in 16 states, heat wave alert in 5 states; even storm
Humidity and heat had left people in distress in the national capital New Delhi on Sunday. But suddenly in the evening the weather took a turn. The weather became pleasant with strong wind and rain. The maximum temperature of the day was recorded at 41.6 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted clear sky on Monday i.e. today.
Due to western disturbance, the weather became pleasant due to rain in different parts of Rajasthan. The highest rainfall of 93.5 mm was recorded in Vanasthali of Tonk district. Apart from this, there was 22.2 mm rainfall in Alwar and 14.6 mm rainfall in Bikaner. The highest temperature (44.8 degrees Celsius) was recorded in Sriganganagar.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in 16 states on Monday. There is a heat wave alert in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. The weather will remain hot and humid in some districts of Odisha. The nights will also be hotter.

Warning of heavy rain in these states
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain in Karnataka, Kerala, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on Monday. Heavy rain warning has also been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Goa, Lakshadweep, Madhya Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry.

Heat wave warning has been issued in Punjab-Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Western Rajasthan on Monday. Nights will remain hot in some districts of Odisha. Apart from this, the weather will be humid and hot in some districts of Goa and Odisha.
Storm from Bihar to Tamil Nadu
There is also a possibility of storm with a speed of 50 to 60 km in Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Apart from this, there are chances of thunderstorm and lightning in Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Goa, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry Telangana, West Bengal-Sikkim. Storm alert has also been issued in East Rajasthan, Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura.

Where will the heat wave move next?
There is a possibility of heat wave in Eastern Madhya Pradesh on June 10 and 11, Eastern UP on June 9 and 10, Punjab-Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi from June 8 to 11, Western UP on June 10 and 11, Himachal Pradesh on June 9 and 10 and Western Rajasthan till June 11. On June 8, nights will remain hotter in some areas of Odisha. The weather will be humid till June 9.
How will the weather be in the coming days?
There are chances of scattered rain in Chhattisgarh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Western Madhya Pradesh between June 13. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning in some areas of Chhattisgarh from June 8 to 11. There may be isolated rain in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Uttarakhand till June 13.
There are chances of rain in Punjab-Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western UP between June 11 and 13. There may be drizzle and rain in eastern UP from 10 to 13 June and in eastern Rajasthan from 10 June. Thunderstorm alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh on June 11 and 12. Thunderstorm warning has also been issued in Chandigarh, Punjab-Haryana and Delhi from June 11 to 13.
