Pune: 16th Hockey In the India Junior Women's National Championship 2026, Hockey Jharkhand and Hockey Haryana entered the final after winning their semi-final matches. In the semi-finals at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Nehrunagar, Pimpri on Saturday, Jharkhand secured a hard-fought shootout victory over Hockey Madhya Pradesh, while Hockey (Sports) Haryana thrashed Chhattisgarh Hockey by a whopping 8-0.
Hockey Jharkhand and Hockey Haryana will fight for the title in the final match on Sunday. Also for the third place hockey match will be played between Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh hockey. The tournament is organized by Hockey Maharashtra, under the guidance of Hockey India and in collaboration with Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
Thrilling win for Jharkhand in the shootout
In the first semi-final on Saturday, Hockey Jharkhand defeated Hockey Madhya Pradesh in a shootout to reach the final. The match was tied at 1-1 with both teams scoring one goal each in the allotted time. Kajal from Hockey Madhya Pradesh scored a goal in the 15th minute to give the team the lead. After that, Madhya Pradesh tried to maintain this lead till the end.

However, in the very last minute of the match, Hockey Jharkhand made a strong comeback. Horo Ester scored in the 60th minute to draw Jharkhand 1-1 and the match went to a shootout. Salomi Nag and Rajni Kerketta scored perfect goals for Hockey Jharkhand in the shootout. Only Kajal could score from Hockey Madhya Pradesh. Hence, Jharkhand secured their place in the final by beating Sarshi in the shootout.

A resounding victory for Haryana 8-0
In the second semi-final, Hockey Haryana dominated Chhattisgarh Hockey from the start and won by a resounding score of 8-0. Chhattisgarh's defense could not cope with Haryana's aggressive play. Shashi Khasa from Haryana played a vital role in the team's victory by scoring a hat-trick. She scored in the 45th, 57th and 59th minutes to neutralize Chhattisgarh's defense completely. Anjani also scored two goals in a superb performance. She scored in the 7th and 58th minutes of the match. Apart from this, Bhavya in the 9th minute, Diksha in the 11th minute and Sukhpreet Kaur scored a goal each in the 35th minute to seal the big win for Haryana.
