White Birch Snowgrave is one of the new areas added to Snezhnaya in Version 7.0 of Genshin Impact. The frozen zone can be difficult to reach because the surrounding mountains and blizzards make a direct climb dangerous. You do not need to force your way over the mountains. There is a safer route, and you can also reach the area through its connected World Quest.
Where Is White Birch Snowgrave?
White Birch Snowgrave is a subregion in northern Snezhnaya. It is connected to Snezhnograd and contains a Statue of The Seven, Teleport Waypoints, quests, puzzles, enemies, and exploration rewards.
The easiest starting point is Snezhnograd. From there, the railway provides a route toward the mountains surrounding Snowgrave.
How to Reach White Birch Snowgrave
Follow these steps:
- Teleport to Snezhnograd or another nearby unlocked waypoint.
- Find the railway and follow the tracks toward the eastern side of the area.
- Continue along the tracks instead of climbing directly over the mountains.
- Watch for an opening through the mountain that leads toward White Birch Snowgrave.
- Enter the mountain passage and continue toward the nearby waypoint and Statue of The Seven.
- Activate the waypoint or Statue as soon as you reach it so you have a safe travel point.
The important part is staying near the railway. Trying to cross the mountain peaks can expose your character to the extreme cold and blizzard conditions for too long. The route through the mountain is more practical.
Use the Cold-Protection Mechanic
The weather around the route can become dangerous, especially when you leave protected paths. Keep an eye on your character’s cold resistance or the relevant survival indicator and use nearby sources that restore protection when necessary.
Do not simply sprint through the storm. Look for objects or safe points that help maintain your protection. If your character starts taking damage from the cold, stop and recover before continuing.
This matters when exploring before unlocking its main quest content.
The Quest Route to Snowgrave
There is another, more natural way to enter White Birch Snowgrave. Progress through the Snezhnaya World Quest content connected to the Eye of Graeae. One of the important quests in this chain is called “On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb.”
As you progress through the quest, the game eventually takes you into White Birch Snowgrave. This method is useful because the story introduces the area while guiding you through locations that can be difficult to find.
If you are not in a hurry, following the quest is the simplest option. It also reduces the chance of getting lost.
Can You Enter Snowgrave Without the Quest?
Yes. You can reach White Birch Snowgrave through the overworld without completing the associated World Quest first. The railway and mountain passage provide a route into the area, so you are not completely locked behind the quest.
However, quest progression can still be useful for accessing certain content and understanding why the region matters. Some activities, characters, and locations are tied to the surrounding story, so exploring everything immediately may not be possible.
What to Do After Reaching the Area
Once you enter White Birch Snowgrave, activate the Statue of The Seven and nearby Teleport Waypoints. This makes future exploration much easier and helps reveal more of the local map.
You can then explore for:
- Chests and hidden rewards
- Seelie puzzles
- World Quest objectives
- Shrines of Depths
- Local exploration challenges
- Additional waypoints and landmarks
The region also contributes to Snezhnaya exploration achievements, so unlocking the map and collecting its treasures can be worthwhile if you are working toward completion.
