As part of the administrative reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh, IAS Manish Bansal has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Agra. Bansal, a 2014 batch officer, had secured 53rd rank in UPSC. Bansal, who studied from IIT Delhi, has previously been the DM of Saharanpur and is known for technology-based administration.

Bansal, a 2014 batch IAS officer, was earlier serving as DM in Saharanpur. He had secured 53rd rank in UPSC exam and has done M.Tech from IIT Delhi. Bansal, a resident of Sangrur in Punjab, is known for technology-based reforms in the administration and has been in the news for speeding up several development projects during his tenure.

As part of the major administrative reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh, IAS Manish Bansal has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Agra. Earlier he was working as DM in Saharanpur and now he has been given the responsibility of Taj city.

Manish Bansal, a 2014 batch IAS officer, had secured 53rd rank in the UPSC exam. After doing M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi, he achieved success in civil services and made his mark in administrative services.

Education and administrative career

Manish Bansal is a resident of Sangrur, Punjab. His father has been a chief manager in a bank, while his mother is a housewife. Bansal, who comes from a technical background, has worked by adopting technology based solutions in administration.

While being DM in Sambhal, he had successfully carried out a big campaign like revival of Sot river, due to which he came into limelight at the national level. He has been recognized as a sharp and solution-oriented officer.

Family, wife and administrative involvement

Manish Bansal’s wife IAS Medha Rupam is also a well-known officer and is currently working as the District Magistrate of Noida. She is a 2014 batch officer and has secured 10th rank in UPSC.

Medha Rupam also has a strong educational and sports background. She is a graduate in Economics and has also been a professional shooter. His father Gyanesh Kumar is the Election Commissioner of India, due to which this family has a special identity in the administrative service.
