LPG cylinder will be expensive if e-KYC is not done

Dual price system will be implemented again in the country after 10 years
Last Friday, the country's major oil companies like Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) have issued strict guidelines for all gas agencies. Under this, now after a long gap of 10 years, 'Dual Pricing System' is going to be implemented once again, the official date of which will be announced very soon.

If we look at the data of a district, there are a total of 13.57 lakh LPG consumers, out of which only six and a half lakh consumers come under the Indian Oil Corporation. According to the rules, now any consumer can easily book his new cylinder within just 25 days. Although at present the single price system is running, the surprising thing is that in the same district alone there are more than 75 thousand such consumers who have not yet got their e-KYC done, although the customers have been given several opportunities to do so.
If there is no KYC, you will have to pay the full price without subsidy.
Giving detailed information about this, Mandal President of All India Indane Distributor Association, Vipul Purohit said that at present the price of LPG cylinder is Rs 952, which also includes government subsidy of Rs 12. But very soon the oil companies are going to implement the dual pricing system, under which two different rates will be fixed for domestic cylinders. Those consumers who will not get e-KYC done and will be non-Ujjwala scheme consumers, they will have to buy the cylinder directly at the full market rate without any subsidy. He also reminded that the same dual pricing system was in place about 10 years ago, which is now being brought back once again.
