India scored 195 runs after winning the toss in the second semi-final played at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin. During this, Shafali Verma performed brilliantly by scoring the first T20I century of her career. Smriti Mandhana and captain Harmanpreet Kaur also had important contributions. At the same time, Bangladesh team, which came to chase the target of 196 runs in the second innings, was seen struggling with the bat. Apart from Dilara Akhtar, no other batsman could do anything special and the entire team collapsed for 81 runs in 15.4 overs.
The winning Indian team will face Sri Lanka for the gold medal in the final on Tuesday. Whereas the bronze medal match will be played between the losing Bangladesh team and Pakistan. The teams of India and Sri Lanka will face each other in the final for the second time in a week. Earlier, India had defeated Sri Lanka in the final of Asia Cup 2026.
