Political activity is continuously increasing regarding the controversies related to the country's electoral system and voter list. Now, along with opposition parties, various political organizations have also started taking to the streets regarding the matters related to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and SIR. In this series, 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP) has opened a front against the Chief Election Commissioner and has sounded the bugle of a nationwide movement. The party has made it clear that their protests will continue until their demands are met. During a press conference held in Mumbai, Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Deepke announced that his party will stage a protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital Delhi demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. Making serious allegations against the Chief Election Commissioner, he said that this protest by CJP is not going to stop until he resigns from his post. 'SIR list of 2025 should be frozen, questions raised on names of 13 crore voters' During the press conference, Abhijeet Deepke made a scathing attack against the Chief Election Commissioner and said that serious questions are being raised on the functioning of the Election Commission. Making his main demand, he said that the SIR list of the year 2025 should be frozen with immediate effect. Along with this, he claimed that to provide justice to the approximately 13 crore voters whose names have been removed from the list across the country, the party will take to the streets and protest with the public on a large scale. The party clarified that the process of appointment of election officers should be completely transparent, so that there is no scope for any kind of irregularities. CJP says that it has become very important to fight this battle to protect democracy. Three main demands of the Cockroach Janata Party Abhijit Deepke put forward three main demands of the party before the media, which should be immediately considered by the government and the Election Commission: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar should immediately resign from his post and legal action should be initiated against him in criminal cases. The process of appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner should be completely transparent, in which active participation of civil society should be ensured. The SIR process should be stopped immediately, the upcoming elections should be conducted using the original voter list of the year 2025 and the new Chief Election Commissioner should be selected by an independent institution. Announcement of agitation in Mumbai, confusion over police permission. CJP has announced that people will unite outside Gate No. 6 of Shivaji Park to demand the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and an appeal will be made to actively participate in this movement. However, Mumbai Police has refused permission for this movement at Azad Maidan citing security and rules, after which all eyes are on the next steps of the party. It is worth noting that before this, a strong demonstration was held under the leadership of CJP at Jantar Mantar in Delhi against the NEET paper leak case, after which there was a lot of discussion about the attitude of this party in the political circles. Now it remains to be seen how the Election Commission and the administration deal with this new protest.
