The company has launched Redmi 17C 5G. The starting price of the phone has been kept at ₹ 20,999 and it has features like 6000mAh large battery, 120Hz display and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor.
This new smartphone of Redmi has become a part of the company's 5G portfolio along with the recently launched Redmi 17 5G. The special thing is that in this low priced phone, the company has given a large 6.9 inch screen with 120Hz refresh rate. This means that the screen experience is expected to be smoother while watching videos, scrolling social media and in everyday use.
Price starts from ₹20,999
Redmi 17C 5G has been launched in two variants. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at ₹20,999, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will come at ₹22,999.
The sale of the phone will start from October 7. Customers will be able to buy it from Amazon and Xiaomi's online stores. The company has introduced it in three attractive color options – Coffee Brew, Dark Night and Purple Dawn.
6.9 inch large screen, 120Hz refresh rate
The most special features of the phone include its large display. Redmi 17C 5G has a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD screen, which supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The HBM brightness of the screen is up to 810 nits.
Apart from this, the display has touch sampling rate up to 240Hz and support of 16.7 million colors. To provide comfort to the eyes, the company has also provided low blue light, circadian friendly and flicker-free features.
With 6GB RAM and Dimensity 6300
For performance, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset has been provided in the phone. The peak clock speed of the octa-core processor is up to 2.4GHz. Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is available for graphics.
The phone has up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Not only this, the RAM can be expanded up to an additional 6GB with the help of Virtual RAM feature. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Take photos with 50MP camera
Talking about camera setup, a single 50MP camera has been provided on the back of Redmi 17C 5G. Its aperture is f/1.8. For video recording, the phone supports recording at 1080p up to 30fps.
At the same time, for selfie and video calling, an 8MP camera is provided in the front, whose aperture is f/2.0.
6000mAh battery, 33W charging
In terms of battery, Redmi has given a large battery of 6000mAh in the phone. It gets support for 33W wired fast charging. This means that the worry of repeatedly charging the phone can be reduced, especially for those users who use the phone extensively throughout the day.
For connectivity, apart from 5G and 4G LTE, it has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C port. GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou are also supported for navigation.
