India’s first hydrogen train will run from Jind to Sonipat on track from today, travel for just ₹ 25

New Delhi: Taking a big step towards clean and modern transportation, Indian Railways has started the country’s first hydrogen train for common passengers. After inauguration, this train will run regularly on Jind-Sonipat railway section from July 17. The special thing is that passengers will be able to travel in this new technology train at very low fares like a normal passenger train. This train, considered environment friendly, will not only give a new experience to the passengers, but will also prove to be a big achievement for the Railways.

According to Railways, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train from Jind at 11 am on Friday. During the inaugural journey, two bogies of the train will be reserved for senior railway officials, technical experts and special guests. In the remaining coaches, about 1000 students selected from five different stations will travel. These will include students from Pandu Pindara, Gohana, Lath, Mohana and Sonipat stations. After the inauguration, regular operation of the train will start for common passengers from the next day.

You will get a chance to travel for just Rs 25

The biggest attraction of this hydrogen train is its low fare. The maximum fare for the entire route from Sonipat to Jind has been kept at only Rs 25. This will provide a lot of relief to daily commuters, students and working people. Railways believes that this train with modern technology and low fares can become increasingly popular among passengers.

Train will run daily, one day a week will be holiday

Railways has also fixed the timing of regular operation of this train. The train will leave Jind daily at 7:40 am and reach Sonipat at 9:40 am. In return, it will leave Sonipat at 10:30 am and reach Jind at 1:00 pm. This train will operate six days a week. Its maximum speed will be 75 kilometers per hour and will cover a distance of approximately 89 kilometers.

There will be stoppage at 14 stations

This train will stop at a total of 14 stations between Jind and Sonipat. These include Jind Junction, Jind City, Pandu Pindara, Lalit Kheda, Bhambhewa, Ishapur Khedi, Butana, Khandrai, Gohana, Rabhada, Lath, Mohana, Barwasni and Sonipat Junction. During the return journey also, the train will stop at all these stations in the same order, which will directly benefit the local passengers.

Special arrangements for security

In view of the inauguration program of the train, security arrangements have also been tightened. Flying of drones has been temporarily banned in Sonipat Police Commissionerate area, so that there is no security problem during the program.
