New Delhi: ITBP has issued a notification for the recruitment of 21 vacant posts of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic). Eligible candidates will be able to apply online from 28 September 2026. The last date for application has been set as 27 October 2026. To participate in the recruitment, candidates will have to fulfill the prescribed educational qualification, age limit and selection process conditions.

Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has announced the recruitment for 21 vacancies of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic). According to the notification issued for recruitment, the online application process will start from 28 September 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply through online mode only. The last date to apply has been set as 27 October 2026.
Candidates must check all recruitment conditions and eligibility before applying. Only the candidates who fulfill the prescribed qualifications will be able to participate in the application process.
12th along with ITI or Diploma is necessary
For Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) posts, the candidate must have passed 12th. Along with this, one should have ITI certificate in related trade or 3 year diploma in Automobile Engineering.
Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the applying candidate has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 25 years. Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per rules.
To apply, first of all the candidate has to visit the official website of ITBP. There you will have to register by clicking on the registration link related to recruitment. After completion of registration, other information required in the application form will have to be entered. After this, the prescribed application fee will have to be deposited and the form will have to be submitted. The candidate should take a printout of the filled application form and keep it safe for future reference.
Application fee is Rs 100
All other categories of candidates applying for this recruitment will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Whereas the application is free for SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
Selection process will be from PET to medical test
Candidates will be selected in ITBP Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) Recruitment based on a multi-stage process. First of all there will be Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). After this the original documents will be verified.
Written examination will be conducted in the next phase. After this, Practical i.e. Skill Test will be taken. The final stages of the selection process include Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME). Candidates successful in all prescribed stages will be selected for appointment.
Selected candidates will be given salary ranging from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 per month as per Pay Level-4. A total of 21 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment.
