Haryana: Today an important meeting of Rural Rice Association Ratia was held at Pooja Royal located on Tohana Road. In the meeting, important issues regarding the upcoming Jiri season were discussed. All the millers were present in this meeting. In which consensus was reached on many issues. Jagwinder Singh Dandiwal was unanimously made the head of Rural Rice Association Ratia for the next two years. Rajsh was made the secretary.
A committee of 12 members was formed for the upcoming season. It included Raju Karandi, (Ratangarh), Rakesh (Lamba), Vinod Bansal (Kamana), Dr. Suresh (Mahmadaki), Anil (Lali), Tony (Alika), Gurpal (Bada), Varun (Bamanwala), Chhindar (Boda), Updesh (Nagpur), Jagbinder (Ladhuwas), Goga (Ratangarh) etc. were made members.
Millers took important decisions regarding purchase of cumin and moisture.
The newly appointed head said that all the millers will distribute the jeera among themselves and if necessary, they can even file a case in the court. As per the government norms, any miller will go to the mandis to buy jeera, dryers will be installed in all the mills to dry jeera. If the miller does not follow the conditions, a fine will be imposed by the association. Rs. 10,000/- from one mill will be collected for the fund, 17 will have moisture. It was decided to take cumin. No miller will take floor fork or straight cumin in any form, and if caught, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
On this occasion, Sukhpal Singh Mohammadaki's Gurpal Singh Bada, Sonu Jindal, Soni Brar, Ravi Jindal, Ram Gopal Pal, Raju Lali and all the members of the association were present.
