New Delhi. Amidst the continuous rain in the capital, Delhi Municipal Corporation’s Leader of the House and Standing Committee member Jai Bhagwan Yadav personally visited the spot on Saturday regarding the problem of waterlogging and drains in Deep Vihar area of Begumpur Ward-27 and conducted a comprehensive inspection of the entire area. Taking stock of the waterlogged areas, clogged drains and ongoing development works, he directed the officials to immediately start relief work. On his instructions, the drains were immediately cleaned using both machines and manually and necessary action was initiated to ensure smooth drainage.
During the inspection, Jai Bhagwan Yadav made it clear that citizens should not face any inconvenience during the monsoon. He instructed MCD officials to immediately remove debris from waterlogging, clean drains on a war footing, and ensure the drainage system is in perfect condition. He added that negligence or delay in resolving any complaints will not be tolerated.
During the visit, local residents also apprised him of the problems facing the area. Jai Bhagwan Yadav instructed the officials and staff present on the spot to ensure timely resolution of each problem and assured that there would be no compromise on the quality of development works and civic amenities.
Expressing regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to the public by the road construction work, he said that the construction work is being completed expeditiously. Upon completion, residents of the area will have access to better roads, smooth drainage, and robust civic amenities. He said that his goal is not merely to initiate development projects, but to ensure their timely and quality completion, ensuring the public benefits.
Jai Bhagwan Yadav stated that public service and the overall development of the area are his top priorities. He assured that the municipal administration will continuously monitor the sanitation, drainage, and infrastructure improvements in Begumpur Ward 27, and will ensure prompt resolution of every citizen’s problem.
