New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released the first merit list for UG admissions 2026. Students who applied for admission to undergraduate courses can now check their seat availability by visiting the official website. Furthermore, the admission process has begun with the release of the merit list.
Students can check their seat allotment status by logging in with their application number and password. The merit list contains the candidate’s name, course, category, marks obtained, and seat allocation.
When can I confirm my seat?
Selected students must confirm their seats by August 6, 2026. This requires pre-enrollment registration, payment of admission fees, and document verification. The university has clearly stated that all these processes must be completed within the stipulated deadline. Failure to pay fees or submit document verification on time may result in the cancellation of their seat.
Students will need to bring all their important certificates with them during document verification. Therefore, it’s best to prepare all the necessary documents in advance to avoid any last-minute hassles. Meanwhile, JNU will also release the third merit list for PG Admissions 2026 on August 5th.
