England completed a series whitewash over Pakistan in the three-Test bilateral assignment. Jordan Cox and Joe Root scored unbeaten fifties, leading the host nation to an eight wicket in the third and final Test of the series. Chasing 130, England lost Ben Duckett and Emilio Gay in the first over of the run chase, with both the batters failing to open their accounts.
Mohammad Abbas was the only successful bowler for Pakistan, taking two scalps. Earlier, Pakistan produced their best performance of the series in the second innings of the last five-day game, amassing 449. Shan Masood (95), Razaullah (81) and Babar Azam (76) batted superbly. The sub-continent team was dismissed for 133 in the first innings. England posted 453 in reply, with the likes of Harry Brook (75), Jamie Smith (69), Dan Lawrence (65) and Ollie Robinson (50) leading the batting charts.
