Kawasaki Versys 650 is coming to make a splash in new color, will hit the market in 2027, know the price and features…

Automobile Desk – Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki, which has a strong hold in the premium bike segment, has announced the launch of the 2027 variant of its popular adventure tourer bike 'Versys 650' in the Indian market. The company has fixed the ex-showroom price of this new motorcycle at Rs 8.63 lakh. Its delivery to customers is also going to start from the last week of August 2026. If you are looking for a comfortable and powerful bike to travel long distances, then this new incarnation may tempt you.

This time the company has not made any changes in the mechanical structure of the bike, but has given it a brand new and attractive 'Candy Lime Green' shade. Kawasaki's green color has always been a favorite among riders, and this new shade enhances the sporty look of the bike more than ever. The body graphics, chassis and overall design have been retained as before. For riders who are crazy about the brand's Iconic Green Color, this new option is going to be very special.

In terms of power and performance, the Versys 650 continues to be powered by the same reliable 649cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This powerful engine generates maximum power of 67 hp at 8,500 rpm and torque of 61 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Smooth gear shifting is supported by the 6-speed gearbox with assist-and-slipper clutch, which makes riding extremely easy in heavy traffic or during sudden gear downs.

Keeping in mind the long journey, the suspension setup of the bike has been kept quite balanced. It has a 41mm telescopic fork with 150mm travel at the front and a monoshock suspension with 145mm travel at the rear. The rear suspension features a remote preload adjuster, allowing the rider to manually adjust the suspension settings to suit the weight of the pillion or heavy luggage.

Talking about features and safety features, it has a 4.3 inch TFT color display which supports smartphone connectivity. Apart from this, all-LED lighting setup, traction control and adjustable windscreen to protect against wind pressure on the highway has been provided.

This tourer bike has a fuel tank of 21 liters capacity, which eliminates the hassle of stopping at the petrol pump again and again. The curb weight of the bike with full fuel tank sits at 220 kg. Its seat height is 845mm, which may require some effort for shorter riders to handle, while the ground clearance of 170mm makes the ride safe on potholes and speed breakers on Indian roads.

In the Indian auto market, the direct competition of 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 is being considered with Honda NX500, whose ex-showroom price is around Rs 7.44 lakh. However, while the Honda bike leans more towards adventure and off-roading, the Kawasaki Versys 650 proves to be a great choice for pure long-distance highway cruising and comfort touring.
