Lucknow. Under the guidance of Yogi Government, the Forest Department is establishing special forests. Many special forests have been established in the state in the past. Now on 15th August (Independence Day), Vande Mataram Vatika will be established in all 75 districts. This garden will give the message of environmental protection as well as patriotism. On completion of 150 years of the national anthem, 150 saplings will be planted in every district under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'. This garden will be developed with public participation.

'Vande Mataram Vatika' will give the message of patriotism along with environmental protection in every district.
Under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, 'Vande Mataram Vatika' will be established in all the districts on August 15. The Forest Department has started preparations for this. 150 saplings will be planted at a selected place in each district, which will be a tribute to nature on the occasion of completion of 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram. The Forest Department will develop 'Vande Mataram Vatika' in every district. In this, plants of shady, fruitful and useful species for environmental protection will be planted as per the local conditions. The responsibility for the care of these plants will be decided at the local level, so that the campaign can take the form of a permanent green heritage.
Saplings will be planted in the area outside the spokes of Ashok Chakra in Kukrail, Lucknow.
Sitanshu Pandey, Divisional Forest Officer, Awadh Forest Division, said that Vande Mataram Vatika will be expanded in Kukrail picnic spot on Independence Day. Ashoka Chakra has been built here, Ashoka saplings will be planted in the area outside its 24 spokes. There will also be fencing around it to protect the plants. In this, saplings will be planted by representatives of different sections of the society including retired/present officers of the Indian Forest Service.

Plants will give the message of patriotism, nature conservation and community participation to the future generation.
Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Social Forestry) Deepak Kumar said that Vande Mataram Vatika is an important link of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. Wide participation of common citizens will be ensured in this special campaign. Public representatives, students of schools/colleges/universities, voluntary organizations, social organizations, Vande Mataram Foundation/Trust, families of freedom fighters, NCC/NSS, Yuvak/Mahila Mangal Dal, present/former officers of Indian Forest Service and various government departments will participate in the plantation programme. The saplings planted on Independence Day will give the message of patriotism, nature conservation and community participation to the future generation.
