Lucknow: The Super League matches of the Lucknow District Football League, being played at Chowk Stadium, witnessed thrilling contests on Friday. The first match of the day, between Sports College and LDA Asha Club, ended in a 2-2 draw. In the second match, UP Police defeated Ex-Students Men’s United Club 3-0.
Sports College made a comeback after trailing by two goals.
In the first match, LDA Asha Club made an aggressive start. Priyanshu took the lead for the team by scoring a goal in the 18th minute. After this, Devesh scored the second goal in the 25th minute and put LDA Asha ahead 2-0. After falling behind by two goals, Sports College made a brilliant comeback. Ashfaq raised the team’s hopes of a comeback by scoring a goal in the 37th minute. After this, Vikas equalized the score at 2-2 by scoring a goal in the 44th minute. In the second half, both the teams tried to take the lead, but neither team could score the decisive goal. Ultimately, the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
UP Police showed their strength in the second half
In the second match of the day, UP Police defeated Ex-Students Men’s United Club 3-0. The first half was a close contest between the two teams, with no goals scored. However, in the second half, UP Police completely took control of the match. Mustafa gave UP Police the lead in the 47th minute. Just two minutes later, he scored his second goal in the 49th minute, extending the team’s lead to 2-0.
Rahil then scored in the 53rd minute to give UP Police a 3-0 lead. The ex-students team couldn’t mount a comeback after that, and UP Police won the match 3-0. The results of both matches have further increased the excitement in the Super League stage of the Lucknow District Football League.
