The possibility of new green powertrains
It is expected that this model of Mahindra XUV7XO may come with a strong hybrid or E85 flex-fuel engine. According to reports, Mahindra is working on series-hybrid for its ICE SUVs and range-extender technology for BEVs.

It is believed that the XUV7XO can be provided with a strong hybrid system based on the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Currently this engine generates 203 PS power and 380 Nm torque, which is paired with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. This can also be used in Flex-Fuel Engine Variant, in which ethanol blend support from E20 to E85 will be available. Earlier, Mahindra had also introduced the Flex-fuel version of XUV 3XO at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025.

No major changes expected in design
The rear design of the spotted SUV features diamond-style taillights, sloping windshield and layered boot lid like the current model. The side profile also remains the same, although the new hybrid or flex-fuel variants may get different badging and new color options.
