Manipur, Himachal empty handed, who came to Nitin Naveen's team from 7 election states?

Nitin Naveen became the President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in January 2026. His first major success in elections was in West Bengal but the year 2027 is full of challenges for him. Elections are to be held in a total of 7 states and out of these 7, BJP has governments in 5. Now Nitin Naveen's new team has also been formed and this new team is also being seen from the perspective of the election states. Surprisingly, there are 3 out of 7 states from where no representative has been kept in Nitin Naveen's team. In this team of total 65 people, leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Punjab have got a chance but not a single leader from Goa, Manipur and Himachal Pradesh has been kept. Elections are to be held in all these states in 2027 only.

Looking at Nitin Naveen's team, it seems that maximum focus has been placed on Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Elections are to be held in both these states in the beginning of 2027. In such a situation, a total of 12 leaders have been included including these two states. At the same time, a total of 4 leaders from Uttarakhand and 4 from Gujarat have got places. Let us tell you that 3 former Chief Ministers have also been given place in this new team of BJP. Two leaders from UP and one each from Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Punjab have been made national vice presidents.

Most emphasis on UP

BJP has included a total of 8 leaders from Uttar Pradesh in Nitin Naveen's team. It includes two National Vice Presidents, two National General Secretaries, two National Ministers and presidents of two fronts. Among these 8 names from Uttar Pradesh, the names of defeated former MPs Smriti Irani and Harish Dwivedi are also there. Interestingly, the two Muslim faces that BJP has kept in the team of 65 people are both from Uttar Pradesh. Kunwar Basit Ali has now been made the national president of BJP's Minority Front. At the same time, Tariq Mansoor has once again been made the National Vice President of BJP.

What is at stake in Punjab?

In Punjab, BJP is engaged in solving equations in different ways. In this sequence, a Vice President has also been made from Punjab. Manpreet Badal, who was in Shiromani Akali Dal for a long time, formed the People's Party of Punjab against his uncle Prakash Singh Badal for a few years. He later joined Congress and then joined BJP in 2023.

Manpreet Badal, who was the Finance Minister of Punjab, has lost the elections in 2012 and again in 2022 from the same Giddarbaha seat from where Prakash Singh Badal had been MLA five times and then Manpreet Singh Badal himself had been MLA four times. Now BJP has played a big bet on this Manpreet Badal and has made him the National Vice President of BJP.

Apart from Manpreet Badal, there are three more appointments which are indirectly related to Punjab. Saudan Singh, who was earlier the National Vice President of BJP, has now been made the National Assistant General Secretary (Organization). He has been working from Chandigarh, hence his influence in Punjab at the organizational level is considered certain. Recently, Tarun Chugh, who became Rajya Sabha MP, has already been looking after the work of Punjab BJP. Tarun Chugh, who comes from Punjab, has now been made in-charge of the national office of BJP.

The fourth name has been the most surprising. Sandeep Pathak, who has been working in Aam Aadmi Party for a long time, has now been made a national minister by BJP. Sandeep Pathak, considered the architect of AAP's victory in Punjab in 2022, is considered an expert in strategy, data and is very experienced in working from the backroom in election campaigns. In such a situation, keeping in mind the Punjab elections, BJP has also given him the post of National Minister.

What will the people of Uttarakhand do?

By making former Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat the vice president, BJP has given the message that his career is not over yet and his role can become very important in the future. BJP has now made Mahendra Pandey, who looked after the work of the party office, the National Office Minister. That means he will still continue to look after the work of the party office. Garhwal MP Anil Baluni has again been made media coordinator. At the same time, Alok Bhatt has been given the post of co-coordinator in the social media team.

BJP also has emphasis on Gujarat

There are elections next year in BJP's strongest fort i.e. Gujarat. BJP had canceled the ticket of two-time MLA Varsha Doshi in 2017. In 2022 also, the ticket of the leader who was MLA from the same seat was cut but Varsha Doshi did not get the chance. Now BJP has made the same Varsha Doshi the national vice president. At the same time, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel, who became MLA from Amraiwadi assembly seat of Gujarat in the 2019 by-election, has been made the national minister. Rohan Gupta, who came from Congress, has also been made national minister. Another big post has come to Gujarat's account.

Vadodara Lok Sabha MP Hemang Joshi has been made the national president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Earlier, BJP MP Tejashwi Surya was holding this post.

Let us tell you that assembly elections are also to be held in Manipur, Himachal Pradesh and Goa in 2027. However, no one from these three states has been kept in Nitin Naveen's team. It is believed that some leaders of these states may get a place in the reshuffle in the Union Cabinet.
