Many leaders including CM Yogi extended best wishes on National Panchayati Raj Day, Shah said – Panchayats have become more powerful under Modi government.

New Delhi, 24 April. National Panchayati Raj Day is being celebrated across the country on Friday. On this occasion, many big leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi have congratulated the countrymen. Shah said that under the Modi government, Panchayats are contributing to the creation of ‘Developed India’ by becoming more powerful and self-reliant. Panchayats, which play an important role in rural development, governance, social justice, disaster management and cultural conservation, are becoming more powerful and self-reliant under the Modi government and are contributing to the creation of a ‘developed India’. While wishing National Panchayati Raj Day, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari wrote on ‘X’, “To fulfill the dream of self-reliant India, it is necessary for Panchayats to be strong and developed. Panchayati Raj system has an important contribution in rural development and upliftment of the nation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government is making every possible effort to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, while wishing all the public representatives, gram panchayats and villagers on National Panchayati Raj Day, wrote, “The Panchayati Raj system is a powerful stream of public participation, which irrigates democracy. From the village chaupal to the big resolution of development, public participation in every decision is the real democracy.” Shivraj Singh Chouhan called upon us all to take a pledge that we will play an active role in making our Panchayat clean, prosperous, educated and self-reliant. Also, it will make villages prosperous and India developed.

Congratulating and best wishes to the people of the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in his ‘X’ post, “The Panchayati Raj system is a medium to strengthen India’s democratic tradition. Come, let us all together pledge to further strengthen the spirit of ‘Gram Swaraj’ and build prosperous and self-reliant villages, only then the dream of ‘Developed India-Developed Uttar Pradesh’ will come true.”

On National Panchayati Raj Day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav posted, “Panchayati Raj institutions are a powerful basic unit of democracy in realizing the vision of Gram Swaraj. They are playing an important role in local self-governance, public participation, transparency, digital empowerment, women’s participation and building a self-reliant India.” Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, while calling on the people of the state on National Panchayati Raj Day, said, “Come, on this occasion, let us take a pledge to make our Panchayats more powerful, self-reliant and digital, so that the development of rural India can create a golden nation.”
