Maruti Suzuki's compact SUV 'Fronx' has crossed the milestone of 2 lakh total exports in less than 38 months. With this performance, it has become the fastest SUV made in India to achieve this milestone. Exports of the Franks to the international market began in June 2023 and today the car is exported to nearly 90 countries around the world, including Japan.
All these cars are manufactured at Maruti Suzuki's Hansalpur plant in Gujarat. Franks achieved the milestone of exporting 1 lakh cars in 25 months. However, the next 1 lakh cars were exported in just 13 months, almost halving the duration of the second phase.

The project at Hansalpur is an important part of Maruti Suzuki's global supply chain. 17 different models of the company are exported from here to more than 120 countries. Commenting on the achievement, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India said, “Every vehicle exported by Maruti Suzuki reflects the hard work and pride of our employees. The Franks has been India's number one exported passenger car since FY 2024-25.”
Maruti Suzuki has retained its position as India's top passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. Maruti Suzuki accounted for more than 55 percent of India's total passenger vehicle exports in the first quarter of the current fiscal, led by models such as the Franks, Jimny 5-door, E-Vitara, Dzire and Baleno.

Apart from the international market, Franks is also performing well in the domestic market. As of July 2026, the Franks has sold 19,473 units in India, ranking second in its segment. This sales is 51.28 percent higher than last year.
