A stunning performance from all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz set up Guyana Amazon Warriors for a 6-wicket victory against Trinbago Knight Riders in Guyana.
He returned with figures of 4/23 in his four-over spell as the side claimed its eighth win of the CPL 2026 tournament and retained a top spot in the CPL 2026 Points Table.
Being invited to bat first, Colin Munro and Alex Hales opened the innings for Trinbago Knight Riders and made a decent start, forging a 41-run partnership for the 1st wicket.
Miraz bagged the first and second wickets, dismissing Colin Munro and Nicholas Pooran for 26 and 0 runs, respectively.
With Alex Hales and Justin Greaves at the crease, Knight Riders added 43 runs in the powerplay.
Imran Tahir bagged the wicket of Hales for 22 runs, while Jyd Goolie and Sunil Narine were dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz as he completed his four-wicket haul.
Greaves was the highest scorer for Riders, scoring 35 runs in the innings. Pollard and Joshua Da Silva got dismissed cheaply, and with Akeal Hosein and Lahiru Kumara at the crease, Trinbago Knight Riders scored 126 runs in their 20-over innings.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz bagged four wickets while Shamar Joseph bagged two wickets.

Chasing a 127-run target, Glenn Phillips and Mavendra Dindyal opened the innings, and the duo added 22 runs for the 1st wicket.
Akeal Hosein bagged the first wicket, dismissing Dindyal for 19 runs. With Glenn Phillips and Shai Hope at the crease, Warriors added 35 runs in the powerplay.
Usman Tariq bagged the wicket of Glenn Phillips for 11 runs. A decent knock from Shai Hope has set up the side to march closer towards victory.
In the meantime, Shimron Hetmyer and Mehidy Hasan Miraz added 28 and 2 runs as the side lost four wickets for 94 runs.
Shai Hope remained unbeaten with 42 runs while Sampson added 12* runs as the side completed the chase in the 19th over.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz was named Player of the Match. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Miraz said, “Great moment for me. I am playing CPL for the first time, getting the Man of the Match award, and I was enjoy a lot during the match.”
“I was trying to bowl in the right areas and was looking to get the wickets. I knew the wicket was turning. Great moment for me. They look after me. Especially thanks to the management. We have one match left against Barbados. So hopefully in the next match we’ll win,” concluded Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
