Modi and Xi Jinping will be face to face today, complete schedule from meetings to dinner in BRICS

Tezzbuzz Desk- Today is the most important day of the 18th BRICS summit held in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral meetings on Saturday with several prominent leaders of BRICS member countries and partner countries. The whole world will keep an eye on his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Many heads of state, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Masood Pezeshkian, have reached Delhi to participate in the BRICS summit. Chinese President Xi Jinping also reached India on Saturday. Many important meetings of PM Modi are proposed during the summit.

The round of meetings will start from morning

Prime Minister Modi's program will begin at 10 am with a meeting with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali at Hyderabad House. After this, he will meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at 10:30 am.

At 11 am, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. After this, a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Lee Min Hung is scheduled at 11:30 am.

At the same time, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will have a meeting with President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

BRICS meeting and exhibition in the afternoon

The closed-door meeting of BRICS member countries will start at 2:35 pm. After this, at 4:25 pm all the leaders will visit the 'Bharat Innovates' exhibition.

An official family photograph and a simultaneous tree planting ceremony will be held at 5:05 pm. During this, the heads of state of BRICS member and partner countries will be seen on one platform.

Important meeting of Modi-Xi at 5:45 pm

There will be a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping at Bharat Mandapam at 5:45 pm. This meeting is considered very important in view of the ongoing tension between India and China for the last few years.

Issues like border dispute, normalization of bilateral relations, trade and mutual cooperation are likely to be discussed in the meeting. Xi Jinping has come to India after almost seven years.

Gala Dinner at 7:30 pm

A dinner will be organized for the heads of state attending the BRICS Summit at 7:30 pm on Saturday evening at Bharat Mandapam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host this gala dinner.

Chief Ministers of 14 to 15 states will also attend the dinner along with some Union Ministers. Keeping in view the security and traffic arrangements, arrangements have been made for all the Chief Ministers to reach Parliament House and from there go to Bharat Mandapam together by bus.

Which leaders will be on the BRICS platform?

BRICS currently includes 11 member countries and 10 partner countries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi from India, Xi Jinping from China, Vladimir Putin from Russia, Cyril Ramaphosa from South Africa and Masoud Pezeshkian from Iran will participate in the summit.

Apart from this, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi from the UAE will participate. Saudi Arabia will be represented by the Foreign Minister.

Brazilian President Lula da Silva is not attending the summit. In his place, Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira will lead the Brazilian delegation.
