MoMo has expanded its international travel services, offering Vietnamese users cross-border QR payments in more than 60 countries, eSIM connectivity in over 200 countries and flight booking through its app.
The platform has expanded its international payment network through partnerships with Napas, Alipay, WeChat, PayPay and PromptPay. Users can scan QR codes at participating merchants in countries including South Korea, China, Thailand, Japan and Singapore, across a network of more than 100 million acceptance points.
Cross-border digital payments are becoming more widely used as travelers seek convenient ways to manage expenses overseas. QR payments allow users to pay through a familiar application without having to navigate different payment methods in each destination.
MoMo users can make payments at participating merchants such as Big C in Thailand, 7-Eleven in Japan and South Korea, and Mixue in China. Exchange rates are displayed before transactions, and the company says it does not charge foreign currency transaction fees.

The platform’s flight booking service connects users with 56 international airlines, including Vietnam Airlines, AirAsia, Scoot and STARLUX Airlines. It also offers booking, cancellation and refund options.
