Monsoon havoc in Haryana, situation worsened due to rain in many districts, two brothers died due to electric shock

Haryana Monsoon: Rain was recorded in many districts of Haryana on Friday. It rained in the morning in Panipat, Yamunanagar, Ambala and Kurukshetra, while in the afternoon heavy rain was also seen in Faridabad. Trouble increased at many places due to rain and strong winds. A tree fell due to the storm in the Railway Colony of Kurukshetra, while a holiday had to be declared in the PM Shri Senior Secondary School of Ladwa after it was filled with rain water.

Two brothers died due to electric shock in Kurukshetra

A major accident took place during rain in Dhantodi village of Kurukshetra. Here, two real brothers died after the current spread through the wire coming out of the transformer, while another member of the family got injured.

According to the information, a person named Balvindra got electrocuted. His elder brother Nathi Ram, who came to save him, also got electrocuted. While trying to save both of them, Nathi Ram’s son Naresh also got injured. All three were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared Nathi Ram and Balvindra dead.

Yamuna water level increased, water increased on Hathnikund barrage

The effect of continuous rain in the hilly areas is also visible on the Yamuna River. The water level of Yamuna has increased due to rain in the catchment areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The water level at Hathnikund Barrage at 4 am on Friday was around 39 thousand cusecs, which increased to more than 50 thousand cusecs after a few hours. However, according to the Irrigation Department, at present the water level of the river is below the danger mark and no flood-like situation has arisen.

About 33 thousand cusecs of additional water has been released towards Delhi. At the same time, the water level of Som River and Pathrala River has also increased in Yamunanagar.

Rain alert in many districts

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain and strong winds in many districts of Haryana. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Gurugram, Nuh, Palwal, Faridabad, Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind, Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra.

Heavy rain in Faridabad and Gurugram

Due to active monsoon, maximum rainfall was recorded in Faridabad and Gurugram. Faridabad recorded much more rainfall than normal, while Gurugram also witnessed heavy rainfall. Whereas districts like Sirsa and Fatehabad recorded relatively less rainfall. The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to be careful during rains and avoid waterlogged areas.
