Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is one of the most ambitious and successful public welfare schemes of the Central Government providing direct financial support to the food providers of the country. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 per year is transferred to eligible farmer families in three equal installments of ₹ 2,000 each directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The 23rd installment of the scheme was successfully disbursed in June 2026, under which an amount of approximately ₹18,880 crore was transferred to the accounts of more than 9.44 crore farmers. Now crores of beneficiary farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 24th installment for the four-monthly period of August-November 2026. According to sources in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, there is every possibility that the amount of the 24th installment will be transferred to the accounts of farmers through DBT during the month of October before the upcoming festive season (Dussehra and Diwali). However, the government has made it clear that this amount will be received only by those farmers whose 100% verification of documents has been completed. If Aadhaar seeding or e-KYC is pending in a farmer's account, his name may be excluded from the beneficiary list. Why is e-KYC most mandatory? Installment will be stopped in accounts with incomplete process. At the time of launch of PM Kisan Yojana, there were many cases of wrongful availing of benefits by ineligible and non-farmer persons. After this, the Central Government made e-KYC legally mandatory to make the system completely transparent, middleman-free and secure. The Ministry has given clear instructions that the payment of farmers whose e-KYC process has not been completed will be technically withheld at the bank level. Farmer brothers can complete their e-KYC at their convenience through the following three simple means: OTP based online e-KYC (at home): First of all visit the official portal of PM Kisan pmkisan.gov.in. Go to 'Farmers Corner' on the homepage and click on 'e-KYC' option. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and click on 'Search'. A 6 digit OTP will come on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar, after entering it on the screen and submitting it, your e-KYC will be completed immediately. Biometric Authentication (CSC Centre): If the mobile number is not linked to your Aadhar card or the thumb impression is not working, you can get your e-KYC done through biometric fingerprint scanner by visiting the nearest Common Service Center (CSC / Sahaj Jan Seva Kendra). For this the operator has to pay a government fee of only ₹ 15. Face Authentication (Face Authentication via PM-KISAN App): For those elderly farmers whose fingerprints have been erased or who are unable to get the mobile OTP, the government has provided the state-of-the-art facility of 'Face Authentication' on the official PM KISAN GoI mobile app. By logging into the app, farmers can complete their e-KYC without any OTP or biometric device by scanning their face with the camera of their smartphone. If 'NO' happens then money will not come: Mandatory conditions of Land Seeding and NPCI Bank Aadhaar Mapping Merely getting e-KYC done does not guarantee the installment. Due to technical reasons, installments of lakhs of farmers get stuck on PM Kisan Portal because two other important conditions are not fulfilled in their profile status. If you want the 24th installment to come into your account without any interruption, then check these two points immediately: Bhulekh Seeding: It is mandatory for your agricultural land ownership record to be linked to the state revenue records and PM Kisan database. If 'Land Seeding: No' is visible in your status, it means that your Khatauni or land verification is stuck in the Revenue Department. For this, you will have to submit the updated copy of your land certificate, Aadhar card and bank passbook to the accountant (patwari) or deputy agriculture director office of your tehsil and update 'Yes' on the portal. Bank Account Aadhaar Seeding and NPCI Mapping: Many farmers think that once Aadhaar card is inserted in their bank account, then the work is complete. But government subsidy and DBT money reaches only those bank accounts which are mapped to 'Aadhaar Payment Bridge System' (APBS) on the servers of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). If your bank account is not actively linked to NPCI, an error of 'Payment Failed' will appear. For this, go to your bank branch and fill the 'DBT Aadhaar Mandate Form' or open a new DBT enabled account in India Post Payments Bank (IPPB). How to check your beneficiary status from mobile in 2 minutes? You do not need to visit any office to see the complete record of your eligibility and previous installments under PM Kisan Yojana. You can check your live status within 2 minutes right from your smartphone: First of all open the official portal in your browser. Go to the 'Farmers Corner' section on the right side of the homepage and click on the 'Know Your Status' option. Now enter your registration number and the captcha code shown on the screen in the designated box. If you do not remember your registration number, click on the 'Know Your Registration Number' link given above. Verify the OTP by entering your Aadhaar number or mobile number there, which will bring up your registration number on the screen. After entering the registration number, click on the 'Get Data' button. Your complete details will open on your screen. Here mainly open the 'Eligibility Status' tab and see: Land Seeding: Must be YES e-KYC Status: Must be YES Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding Status: Must be YES If there is green 'YES' written next to these three columns, then you need to be rest assured; ₹2,000 will be directly credited to your account as soon as the 24th installment is released. This is how you can see your name in the new 'Beneficiary List' of your village. Many times, names are removed from the list if they are found ineligible during technical verification. The process to view the list of all valid beneficiaries of your Gram Panchayat is as follows: Go to 'Farmers Corner' of PM Kisan Portal and click on 'Beneficiary List'. Select your State, District, Sub-District, Block and Village from the drop-down menu. After this click on 'Get Report'. The complete list of all eligible farmers of your village in alphabetical order will be displayed on the screen. If your name is present in this list, then your installment is safe. If the name is missing, immediately contact your Block Agriculture Officer and apply for error correction. Don't panic if installment is stuck: Solution, Kisan e-Mitra and helpline numbers If no previous installment has been received or any error is visible in the status, farmer brothers can use the official support mechanism of the Central Government: Toll-free helpline: For any technical or payment related issue, farmers can call the call centre's toll-free number 155261 or 1800-11-5526. Apart from this, the telephone number of the central helpdesk 011-24300606 is also functional. AI Chatbot 'Kisan e-Mitra': With the Artificial Intelligence Chatbot 'Kisan e-Mitra' available on the portal, farmers can instantly know the latest status of their installment and application by speaking or writing in their local language (Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi etc.). Online Grievance Redressal: Farmers can register their grievance online through the 'Helpdesk' option on the portal, which is resolved within the time limit prescribed by the District Agriculture Department.
