Kurla Landslide: A major accident took place in Chirag Nagar of Kurla in Mumbai, Maharashtra in the early hours of Wednesday, in which 2 people died. Actually, a part of the hill had fallen on Gausia Chawl located in Chirag Nagar city. There is a possibility of 6-8 people being trapped in the landslide. So far two bodies have been recovered from the spot, which have been sent to the nearest hospital. Officials and rescue teams are working to locate and rescue the trapped people. Rescue operation is going on.

Injured admitted to Bhabha Hospital
A senior police officer said that two have died due to land subsidence in Kurla. Rescue work is going on. Teams of police, ambulance, fire brigade, NDRF and BMC are present at the spot. As of now, the injured have been admitted to Kurla Bhabha Hospital. Information about the incident was received at around 3:48 in the morning.

The incident happened around 3 am in the morning
According to ANI, DCP Ganesh Shinde said that due to rain, landslides occurred in Ashoknagar area under the jurisdiction of Ghatkopar police. Two bodies have been recovered so far. The rescue operation is going on. Along with all the teams required for the rescue operation, policemen are also deployed at the spot. The incident happened at around 3 in the morning. This incident happened at around 3 o'clock. It is feared that about 6 to 8 people are trapped under the debris.

BMC has issued a statement on the accident, in which BMC said that 6 to 8 people are feared to be trapped. Teams of MFB, police, 108 ambulance, NDRF and ward staff are present at the spot. Two injured have been identified, whose names are Mohammad Ansari (14) and Sohail Ansari (18). Two bodies have been sent to the nearest hospital. Further information is awaited.
