East Delhi. Family rivalry took a bloody turn in East Delhi’s Mandawali area on Friday night. 22 year old Vansh Dedha was brutally attacked with a knife by two youths. In the attack, 17 knife wounds were found on the youth’s body. Seriously injured Vansh was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police have arrested an accused in the case, while the search for his accomplice is on.
Police reached the spot as soon as information about stabbing was received
According to District Police Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, information about stabbing was received at Mandavali police station at around 7:54 pm on Friday night. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached Gyan Vatika School. Vansh was found lying injured there. The police immediately took him to Max Hospital, but the doctors declared him dead after investigation.
Chased and attacked after dispute
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Vansh had a dispute with some youth over some issue. It is alleged that after this, 22-year-old Keshav Kumar, resident of Karawal Nagar, along with one of his friends followed him and reached near Gyan Vatika School. Both of them allegedly repeatedly attacked Vansh with knives and fled from the spot after the incident.
One accused arrested, search for another intensified
After the incident, Mandavali police station registered a case of murder and started investigation. The police took action and arrested Keshav Kumar. During the investigation, his second accomplice has also been identified. Police are continuously raiding possible places to arrest him.
Police recovered knife, clothes and bike
Police have recovered the knife used in the crime. Apart from this, the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the incident and the bike used in the incident have also been seized. Police are now examining the recovered items and other evidence.

Police collecting clues from CCTV footage
As part of the investigation of the case, the police are monitoring the CCTV cameras installed at the spot and nearby (CCTV Camera) is scanning the footage. Along with this, efforts are being made to trace the absconding accused with the help of technical surveillance. Police say that the entire reason behind the murder and the role of other people involved in the incident are being investigated.
