Tezzbuzz Desk- Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75. He suffered a serious cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa on the morning of Thursday, October 8. He was found unconscious at home, after which he was taken to the hospital. Doctors gave him CPR for about 45 minutes, but he could not be saved. According to the hospital doctor, he was declared dead at around 5:20 am. A medico-legal case has been registered in the matter and postmortem will be conducted.
Nana Patekar's real name was Vishwanath Patekar. He was born on 1 January 1951 in Murud-Janjira in Raigad district of Maharashtra. He created his own identity in Hindi and Marathi cinema. In the year 1978, he entered Hindi cinema with the film 'Gaman'. After this, his strong acting in films like 'Salaam Bombay!', 'Parinda', 'Krantiveer', 'Tiranga' and 'Welcome' were highly appreciated.
He received the National Film Award and the Filmfare Award for his role of a gangster in 'Parinda'. Nana Patekar was an actor as well as a producer, director and writer. The news of his demise has caused a wave of mourning among the film industry and his millions of fans.
