New Delhi, 21 July. ‘As part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and India’s 79th Independence Day celebrations, the Department of Youth Affairs has launched ‘National Flag of India Quiz 2026’ on My India portal. This quiz will be available till August 15, 2026. Its objective is to increase awareness among the youth about the history, importance of the national flag and the constitutional values associated with it.
Initiative to increase awareness about the national flag
According to the Department of Youth Affairs, this initiative has been launched based on the success of the National Flag Quiz conducted last year. Through this, along with giving information to the youth about the history, development, importance and dignity of the National Flag of India, patriotism, constitutional values and connection with My India platform will be promoted among them.
20 questions, 10 minutes time
This quiz is available to all registered users of My Bharat portal. There will be 20 multiple choice questions, which have to be completed within 10 minutes. The quiz is available in all Indian languages on the portal through Bhashini. Each registered user will be able to participate only once. One mark will be given for every correct answer and no negative marks will be given for wrong answer.
Questions will be related to the national flag and constitution.
Participants will be asked questions on important topics related to the history and development of the national flag, contribution of prominent personalities associated with the Tricolor, Indian Flag Code-2002, Prevention of Insults to National Honor Act-1971 and national symbols of India.
Winners will get a chance to tour border areas
All registered participants who complete the quiz will receive an e-certificate. Whereas, among the eligible participants in the age group of 21 to 29 years, those scoring the highest marks will be selected through a computer-based random process. Selected winners will be given the opportunity to visit the border areas of India or other suitable places.
Will be available on the portal till 15th August
The Youth Affairs Department has appealed to youth across the country in large numbers to participate in this quiz. The department says that this initiative is an effort to link digital education with nation building and develop a sense of active and aware citizenship among the youth. The National Flag Quiz will be available on My India Portal till August 15, 2026.
