Indian star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has seen brilliant performance in Diamond League 2026. Neeraj made the best throw of the season. But still he finished second. Neeraj's best performance after 14 months

Sri Lanka's Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage was the biggest challenge for 28-year-old Neeraj in the Lausanne Diamond League tournament. Neeraj Chopra had a poor start to the competition, with a throw of just 83.54m in his first attempt. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage took the lead with a throw of 85.99 meters in his first attempt. However, Neeraj made a strong comeback in his second attempt and finished top with a throw of 88.05m, his best throw of the season. Rumesh, meanwhile, managed a throw of 87.06m in his second attempt, which was also Neeraj's best throw of the season, having previously thrown 85.83m at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
