Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Ganeshotsav, is a 10-day Hindu festival celebrated on the birthday of Lord Ganesha. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated today i.e. Monday, 14 September. This festival is celebrated with the installation of idols of Ganesha in people’s homes and in richly decorated public pandals. It will end with the immersion of the idol in some water on September 25.
