Delhi:In the 11th match of Women's Asia Cup 2026, Pakistan women's cricket team registered a spectacular victory by defeating Hong Kong by 72 runs. With the help of this victory, Pakistan confirmed its place in the semi-finals. In this match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Pakistan, batting first, scored 143 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. After this, due to the lethal bowling of Nashara Sandhu, the entire Hong Kong team was reduced to 71 runs in 19 overs.

Shawal Zulfikar played a brilliant innings
Pakistan, who came to bat first, did not have a good start. Muniba Ali returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs and Gool Firozha scored only 3 runs. After the initial setbacks, Shawal Zulfikar and Ayesha Zafar took charge.
Shawal batted aggressively and scored 47 runs with the help of 6 fours in 35 balls. Whereas, Ayesha Zafar played a quick inning of 26 runs in 19 balls. Both of them made an important partnership of 47 runs for the third wicket and brought Pakistan out of the difficult situation.
Joyleen Kaur gave big shock to Pakistan
At one time, Pakistan's innings seemed to be moving towards a big score, but Hong Kong fast bowler Joyleen Kaur made a brilliant comeback. He put brakes on Pakistan's run rate by taking consecutive wickets. Joyleen took 4 wickets giving just 19 runs in her 4 overs. Pakistan's middle order could not last long against their bowling.
However, captain Fatima Sana finally took the responsibility. He scored 24 unbeaten runs with the help of 2 sixes in 24 balls. Tuba Hasan also added 14 runs in 13 balls. Thanks to these innings, Pakistan scored 143 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Hong Kong team collapsed for 71 runs
Hong Kong had a very poor start while chasing the target of 144 runs. Captain Fatima Sana bowled Mariko Hill in the very first over without opening the account. In the very next over, Sadia Iqbal trapped Hong Kong captain Natasha Miles LBW on a personal score of 1 run.
In 6 overs of power play, Hong Kong team could score only 28 runs after losing 2 wickets. After the initial setbacks, Kerry Chan and Yasmin Daswani tried to control the innings. Both added 31 runs for the third wicket, but this partnership could not last long.
Nashra Sandhu created havoc, took 6 wickets for 7 runs
After the partnership between Kerry Chan and Yasmin broke, Nashra Sandhu tightened the grip on Hong Kong in such a way that its batsmen kept returning to the pavilion one after the other.

Left arm spinner Nashra spent only 7 runs in her 4 overs and took 6 wickets. Hong Kong's batsmen had no answer to his spinning balls. Nashara completely destroyed the middle order and lower order.
For Hong Kong, Kerry Chan scored the highest score of 30 runs, while Yasmin Daswani played an inning of 13 runs. Apart from these, no other batsman could play a big innings. The last 5 batsmen of the team could not even touch double figures.

Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in the semi-finals
Fatima Sana's team became the third team to make it to the semi-finals of the Asia Cup. Now Pakistan will have to defeat Sri Lankan team in the semi-finals to get the ticket for the final. The second semi-final of the Women's Asia Cup 2026 will be played on September 11.
