During this special event, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was also present on the stage, who warmly welcomed PM Modi.

“Despite global challenges, the pace at which India is developing is unprecedented. Today India has established itself as the fastest growing major economy in the world,” the Prime Minister said amid huge cheers, thunderous applause and slogans of “Modi-Modi” from the Indian diaspora.
Digital revolution and India’s soar in space
Citing examples of India’s new development model, the Prime Minister underlined the country’s achievements in the technology sector. He said that today billions of digital transactions are taking place every month in India through Unified Payment Interface (UPI), which has surprised the world. Along with this, India is now continuously touching new heights in Drone Technology and Space Economy.
Trade agreement between India and New Zealand will write new history
Talking about the bilateral relations between the two countries, PM Modi said that relations between India and New Zealand are based on fond memories, enduring friendship, shared values and mutual commitment. He expressed confidence that the upcoming trade agreement between the two countries will further accelerate India’s journey to become a developed nation, which will create new and unlimited business opportunities for the businessmen of both the countries.
Indian PM visits after 40 years, 30 year old muffler
Prime Minister Modi reached Auckland on Friday in the last leg of his important three-nation visit. He is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit New Zealand in the last 40 years. During this, the Prime Minister refreshed his old memories by showing an old muffler from the stage. He told that before coming into public life, when he came to New Zealand as an ordinary citizen about 25-30 years ago, he had received this muffler as a gift, which he has preserved even today.
