While investigating criminal cases in Bihar, police raided premises linked to LJP-R MLA Amit Ranu and JDU MP Giridhari Yadav. Automatic pistol, magazine and cartridges have been recovered from the MLA's hideout, while the MP has raised questions on the police action, calling it an action without a search warrant.
Tezzbuzz Desk- Police action has intensified regarding criminal cases in Bihar. In this series, the police conducted a search operation at several places associated with Chirag Paswan's party Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MLA Amit Ranu and Janata Dal United MP Giridhari Yadav. Discussion regarding both the cases has intensified in political circles also.
While investigating the case of removal of houses and constructions on the land of more than 50 people in Jhaphan area of Ahiyapur police station area of Muzaffarpur, the police raided the residence of MLA Amit Ranu in Bairiya and office-cum-residence in Belsand.
During the search, police found an automatic pistol, two magazines and nine cartridges. During the operation, the police also arrested two suspects named Naveen Kumar alias Nanhe and Chhotu Yadav.
Police have also named MLA's brother Sonu Singh alias Abhinav in the case. Besides, the role of MLA Amit Ranu in the entire matter is also being investigated.
Police also reached Giridhari Yadav's hideouts
On the other hand, police searched three places including the ancestral house of JDU MP Giridhari Yadav in Banka late Saturday night. According to the MP, the police reached his residence in Deoghar and Chandan at around 11.30 pm. Apart from this, action was also taken at his native village house.
After the raid, MP Giridhari Yadav objected to the police action. He alleges that his premises were searched without a search warrant, due to which his reputation has been damaged. He even termed this action as murder of democracy.
Police called the allegations baseless
At the same time, the police have rejected the MP's allegations. According to the police, the action was not targeted at the MP. The team had gone in search of Laldhari Yadav, accused in the case of illegal soil mining near Odhani Dam.
According to the police, Laldhari Yadav is the younger brother of MP Giridhari Yadav. Banka SP Amitesh Kumar said that the allegations against the police are baseless. He clarified that the team had not gone to take action against any MP but to search for an accused.
